POLAND - PORTFOLIO LONG WEEKEND 2024
This event is much more than just an occasion to take part in organized photo sessions. With over 10 years of experience running a variety of workshops, tours and portfolio days, I would like to invite you to my Equine Photography Portfolio Long Weekend in Owl Mountains, Poland 2024. This event will take place at my home - Podolin Stud, a family breeding farm of one of the flashy and eye-catching Gypsy Horses.
About Podolin Stud
A family horse breeding stud of Gypsy Cobs & Vanner Horses. The main goal is breeding horses that meet the highest breeding standards (working, breeding & show), while maintaining a gentle character typical for this breed, thanks to which we can also promote them as ideal family horses. Specializing in breeding horses with high quality standard, proper confrimation, rare colors, based on fundamental British and Irish blood lines.
Our stud's goal is also to promote this still rare breed. Expanding our knowledge about Traditional Gypsy Cob, Gypsy Vanner and Irish Cob breeding, we visit many breeders each year. Cooperation with best breeders of Great Britain, Ireland and the USA, joint exchange of breed reviews and continuous education are the foundation of our own breeding.
Unique photography opportunities
During our stay in the beautiful area of Owl Mountains, we will focus on capturing one in a kind Gypsy Horses of many rare colors and markings while running on open fields with backdrop of beautiful mountains covered by the golden colors of Polish autumn, posing in the gardens,forests and stables, performing in smoke and light. During one of our sessions, we will also take you to amazing old architecture in a palace/castle atmosphere.
Participation in this event is a great chance for hobbyists and experienced photographers to stretch their artistic abilities and capture hundreds (or perhaps thousands) of images of beautiful feathered horses!
This event is an exclusive and intensive program that provides a great opportunity to build your own portfolio, capture one-of-a-kind frames, and improve your photography skills through the many opportunities that we will provide you with! All this was combined with a pleasant atmosphere and lots of fun within the small group.
During the rest and break hours, our participants are more than welcome to join me for review photos captured at sessions and for collaborative photo editing.
For those who want to take advantage of the charms of the area, it is also possible to organize a trip to the beautiful National Stud and Castle od Książ in city of Wałbrzych.
Your stay
Our guests will be accommodated in a cozy guest house located on the stud farm's premises in village of Rościszów (1 hour drive from Wroclaw), where guests will be divided between several rooms.
Single accommodation is possible at another facility in the neighborhood - an additional fee will apply. Pick-up and drop-off from Wroclaw airport or city, can be arranged on request.

Out of concern for the quality of the offered event, this portfolio weekend will be hosted for limited group of photographers.
Taking a great care for comfort during our photo sessions and work in intimate groups is my priority.
Arrival & departure
ROŚCISZÓW, POLAND (58-250)
Our first session will take place afternoon 24th of October. Please plan your arrival to Podolin Stud on the Thursday 24th of October before 3pm.
Our last session will be scheduled for the morning of the 27th of October. Please book your departure from Podolin Stud for Sunday the 27th of October not ealier than 11am.
Your pick-up and drop-off from airport of Wroclaw can be arranged on request.
Gear required
Please bring with you a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, 70-200mm (or simillar) & 35mm (or simillar) lenses.. Don’t forget to bring a laptop with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom software, and additional cards or external disks for storing many photos that we will take during our practices.

This workshop is dedicated to people who already have a basic skill in photographing. Whether you are a beginner, a hobbyist or a skilled photographer, you are more than welcome to join us - our workshop will help you find answers to your questions, guide you in developing your own creative vision and will let you to boost your portfolio.
