This event is much more than just an occasion to take part in organized photo sessions. With over 10 years of experience running a variety of workshops, tours and portfolio days, I would like to invite you to my Equine Photography Portfolio Long Weekend in Murcia, Spain 2024. This event will take place at Yeguada Sierra de la Espada, a breeding farm of one of the most extraordinary Pure Spanish Horses (P.R.E.).

About Yeguada Sierra de la Espada
Established in 1986 family breeding farm of P.R.E. (Pura Raza Española) horses.
Focusing on a beautiful type with excellent quality, it is also an extremely exclusive breeding farm of some of the most extraordinary horses of pure Spanish breed - with exceptional beauty and very rare coloring among this breed: white masks, four white legs and blue eyes.

Unique photography opportunities
During our stay in the beautiful area of Archena, we will focus on capturing expressive and rare coloued Spanish horses while running on sandy paddcoks with textured backdrop of beautiful walls, posing in the gardens and stables, splashing on the beach of the Balearic Sea, performing in surroundings of old architecture.
Participation in this event is a great chance for hobbyists and experienced photographers to stretch their artistic abilities and capture hundreds (or perhaps thousands) of images of beautiful Spanish horses!
This event is an exclusive and intensive program that provides a great opportunity to build your own portfolio, capture one-of-a-kind frames, and improve your photography skills through the many opportunities that we will provide you with! All this was combined with a pleasant atmosphere and lots of fun within the small group.
During the rest and break hours, our participants are more than welcome to join me for review photos captured at sessions and for collaborative photo editing.
For those who want to take advantage of the charms of the area, it is also possible to organize a trip to the beautiful city of Murcia.

Your stay
Our guests will be accommodated in a beautiful town of Archena, in Hotel Hyltor SPA**** ‌ (25 minutes drive from Murcia), where each of them will enjoy staying in their own private room. Pick-up and drop-off from Murcia airport or city, as well as transport during the duration of the event, will be arranged.

If you feel that you lack answers to questions to improve your photographs before we go out together to create beautiful frames, this offer is for you.These additional classes offered before the start of the event, will be useful for all those who want to delve into my secrets of horse photography.
Topics we will cover in this classes:

• Introduction to horse photography
• Proper preparation for photo sessions
• Shooting in various lighting conditions
• Mastering colors in photography
• About building compositions and framing
• Individual portfolio review and consultation

The fee for additional classes complementing the workshop topics is 500 USD. People expanding the event package with this meeting, must arrive the day before - on May15, 2024. Accommodation and meals are already included in the price. More details to follow via private message.

Out of concern for the quality of the transferred knowledge, this masterclass will be hosted for small group of students.
Taking a great care for comfort during our photo sessions and work in intimate groups is my priority. 

Arrival & departure
MURCIA, SPAIN (MJV)

Our first session will take place afternoon 16th of May. Please plan your arrival to Murcia on the Thursday 16th of May before 3pm.
Our last session will be scheduled for the morning of the 19th of May. Please book your departure from Murcia for Sunday the 19th of May not ealier than 2pm.
Your pick-up and drop-off will be arranged throughout the city of Murcia.

Gear required

Please bring with you a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, 70-200mm (or simillar) & 35mm (or simillar) lenses.. Don’t forget to bring a laptop with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom software, and additional cards or external disks for storing many photos that we will take during our  practices.

This workshop is dedicated to people who already have a basic skill in photographing. Whether you are a beginner, a hobbyist or a skilled photographer, you are more than welcome to join us - our workshop will help you find answers to your questions, guide you in developing your own creative vision and will let you to boost your portfolio.
