Turkey is a country where the horse theme appears so often that it exceeded my wildest expectations - as I learned that in the history of the territories of present-day Turkey you can find records of nearly 70 different local breeds / types of horses. As if that were not enough, the most beautiful land of this country - Cappadocia in translation means the land of beautiful horses! Isn't that fascinating?

It was Cappadocia and its bordering territories that stole my heart during my visit to Turkey, and this is where I would like to invite you to accompany me on my next adventure, to photograph horses together in one of the most amazing landscapes in the world!

Unique photography opportunities
This Tour is an exclusive and intensive seven-day program that provides great opportunity to build your own portfolio, capture one-in-a-kind frames and improve your photography skills through the many opportunities which we will provide you with! All this combined with a pleasant atmosphere and lots of fun.
Traveling to diverse locations across Cappadocia region and adjacent areas, you will discover some of the local horse breed, but also our models will be another, more known horse breeds.
During this exclusive trip I will share with you variety of localizations, horses and photo session scenarios. I want to provide with you an opportunity to capture horses with the spectacular backdrops of beautiful landscape. This tour guarantees a great diversity in horse photography, such as: portraits, herds of horses at liberty, stallions in movement, quiet moments with mares and foals on open fields. 
The region of Cappadocia is famous for its unique rock formations - countless caves, fancy rock carvings created by nature in various shades and textures. Many famous places and Valleys will be main backdrops for our equine models. We will photograph horses in herds and as individuals posing around rock formations and caves. During this tour we will also take you and horses into the Salt Lake, where shallow water gives mirrol-like effect. Big highlight of this trip will be sessions with herd of 100-200 wild Yilki horses galloping across dry lands rising dust during sunsets. 

Your stay
Our guests will experience local luxury and hospitality. First and last night you will stay at the hotel in Kayseri town, where our pick-up and drop-off from Kayseri ariport will be arranged. The remaining 4 nights will be accommodated in beautiful village at unique cave hotel, where you can enjoy your privacy and take a break between our adventures. 
During the shared meals planned on our route, you will have the opportunity to taste local flavors that will make you fall in love with Cappadocian cuisine.
Along our travels and session will be accompanied by a professional guide and translator who will tell us many interesting facts about places, people and horses, of course.

Additional attractions
When visiting this famous tourist destination, we cannot deny ourselves a few additional attractions. We have prepared for our participants Turkish Night Show where you can watch the folkloric dances of different regions of this country that will take you on an enchanted cultural journey.
We will visit an Underground City, which, according to the latest research by archaeologists and ethnographers, can compete for the title of the cradle of civilization.
To get to know the local history better, our guide will take you to Goreme Open Air Museum, where you can see the best-preserved cave churches of Cappadocia with beautiful paintings and frescoes, dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries.
When visiting Cappadocia, one of the "bucket-list" things to do is hot air balloon ride during sunrise, which, if you would like to, you can join (additional fee will apply).

We take a great care for comfort during our photo sessions and work in small groups is our priority. This exclusive trip in small group allows only a very limited number of photographers to capture one in a kind frames. 
 

Arrival & departure
KAYSERI (ASR)

Our first photo session will take place afternoon 23rd of September. Please plan your arrival to Kayseri on the Monday morning of 23rd of September.
Our last session will be scheduled for the evening of the 28th of September. Please book your departure from Kayseri for Sunday the 29th of September.
Your pick-up and drop-off from Kayseri ariport will be arranged. 

Gear required

Please bring with you a DSLR camera or Mirrorless camera. Variety of locations allow for shooting with a lens such as 70-200mm, 300mm, 200-400mm.
Some of the sessions will be adapted to the wider lens, such as 35mm or simillar. 
Don’t forget to bring a laptop or other device to safely store your photos from your memory cards.

experience & Difficulty level

This tour is dedicated to people who already have a basic skill in photographing. Whether you are a beginner, a hobbyist or a skilled photographer, you are more than welcome to join us on this one in a kind adventure! 
Photo locations are easy and accessible - some locations might require ability to work in a limited internal space, a few minutes hike into the view point or longer driving distances.
